Dinesh has been an active member of the Greens for over 25 years. During that time, he has run for Federal, State, and Local elections. In 1998, he was one of the first candidates for Melbourne Ports (now Macnamara), and in 2002, he achieved a record 11% swing in Prahran, bringing the Greens vote to 21%. Dinesh is a founding member of the Port Phillip Greens and has raised funds and trained volunteers across Australia.


Dinesh served as National Campaign Manager in 2001 (the Tampa election) and State Campaign Manager for Richard Di Natale's first Senate tilt. He was also Prahran's campaign manager in 2014, when the Greens made history by winning a seat off the Liberals for the first time. Dinesh also co-founded the Queer Greens in 1997 and has marched in almost every Pride March with the Greens.


Dinesh has also served as State Co-Convenor and Victorian Campaign Committee Co-Convenor for three years, as well as a National Councilor, VCC Member, and State Councilor for a number of years.

Dinesh works in communications and engagement outside of the Greens and is also a NIDA-qualified actor.
